Mexico's history and the multitude of impressive sights always fascinated us so it is quite surprising that we never made south of the border for such a long time. It has everything from active volcanoes to deep canyons and of course a multitude of pre-Columbian remains from both Inca and Maya times. In addition it also has the largest city in the world (population wise) in Mexico City with lots of museums and attractions. Finally in 2014 we bit the bullet and flew through Cabo for an extended weekend which was a great experience that we followed up with a trip to the Yucatan and then a trip to Mexico City.
