Switzerland, the perpetual neutral country, is known especially for the mountains which can be climbed, hiked or skied however it also has interesting towns that have not been bombed into oblivion in WW2 or destroyed in WW1 and innumerable lakes. The other side of the coin is that almost everything is very expensive, it uses its own currency (no euro here) and everything seems to be closed on Sunday.
